What are The Requirements to Get Your License to Carry (LTC) in Texas
In order to get your license to carry (LTC) in Texas, you must meet several requirements. First, you must be at least 21 years of age and a legal resident of the state. Second, you must have a clean criminal record free from felonies or domestic violence related misdemeanors. Third, you must complete an approved firearm course and demonstrate competency with a handgun. Lastly, you will need to pass an FBI background check and submit your application with all necessary paperwork to the local county tax office where it will be processed by the Department of Public Safety. It is important that all information submitted during this process is accurate and up-to-date as any inaccurate information can result in your license being denied. After successfully completing all requirements and submitting your application, you will then be issued a license to carry (LTC).
