HIGH RISK VEHICLE ENCOUNTERS

This course is designed for teams or partners. Individual officers are still welcome to enroll and will still find value they can implement on the street.

The objective of this course is to increase the officer's ability to engage a lethal threat from their vehicle without having to shoot through their windshield. If we can clear our muzzle we can guarantee hits.

The officers will be given instruction that will accomplish the following:

1. Increase their awareness of the inconsistencies of shooting through a windshield
2. Understanding how to prepare for a lethal confrontation
3. Identify the best placement of their vehicle to maximize lethal coverage and cover
4. Learn officer vehicle considerations
5. Review body cameras where the technique could have been utilized and body cameras of officers executing the techniques taught
6. Demonstrate an above average ability to prepare for the moment and apply the concepts taught

*This course is specifically focused on being involved in hostile engagements*

Officers will be exposed to vehicle and open air takedowns and learn the techniques required to address these different scenarios.

This is a Force on Target Class.

Students should be prepared to be a role player and dress appropriately to receive simunitions.

All simunition equipment will be provided.
